Skip the L'Industrie Line on a West Village Food Walk

A guided food walk through the West Village that gets you served at L'Industrie and Apollo Bagels without joining the line, with a large meal's worth of food spread over six or seven stops.

Viral Food Tours walks a small group through the West Village to the counters New Yorkers queue for, and gets you served without standing in the queue. The listing names Apollo Bagels, L'Industrie Pizza and Dosa Man, plus "a bunch more places too". The operator's own tour page adds L'Appartement 4F, Lil Sweet Treat, Buba Bureka and Cops Donuts to the roster.

Stops are not fixed: the operator says it swaps in another partner whenever a shop is closed that day. Expect six or seven stops, split between savory bites and sweets, over 1.5 to 2 miles of walking.

The booking below covers the food at every stop. Drinks are not included, and the operator does not hand out plastic water bottles, so bring a refillable one.

  • USD 99 per person on the listing, Fridays to Sundays at 10:30 AM or noon
  • Groups of up to 12 on one departure
  • Full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead
  • Tips are not included and are optional

Why the Line Does Not Apply to You

The listing credits partnerships and planning for getting the group to the counter. The operator's page puts the usual wait at L'Industrie at 30 to 60 minutes and at Apollo Bagels at 30 to 45 minutes, and promises skip-the-line access at every stop.

One traveler who joined in June 2026 put it plainly: "At L'Industrie Pizzeria alone, we walked past 50+ people waiting." You still walk between every stop; what you skip is the wait at each counter.

Along the way the guide covers the neighborhood's story, from its bohemian past to the streets that turn up in films and on social feeds.

A Full Meal, but No Coffee Stop

The operator says to arrive hungry, because the tastings add up to a large meal. There is no coffee stop, so buy one at Fellini Cucina, the meeting point, before you set off. One or two stops have water stations, and there are restroom breaks about halfway through and at the end.

Vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free diets can be accommodated. The operator does not recommend this walk for gluten-free travelers or anyone with a severe nut allergy. Milder nut allergies can usually be handled if shared kitchens are fine for you. Message the operator about anything else before the day.

Ages 13 and Up on This Booking

The operator calls its walk family-friendly, but this listing only sells tickets to travelers aged 13 and up, so younger children cannot be added here.

The listing allows service animals. Pets, the operator says, cannot come along because of its partner restaurants' rules.

The listing also marks the walk as stroller-friendly and suitable for all fitness levels. The operator's own pages describe 1.5 to 2 miles on foot in comfortable shoes and say nothing about wheelchair access, so ask before you book if that matters to you.

Weather, Timing and Small Groups

The walk starts on time, and the operator asks you to arrive at least five minutes early to check in. Your confirmation has a number to text if you cannot find the guide or are running late.

In light rain the guide takes a route with more cover, but umbrellas are not provided. If the weather turns extreme, the operator may cancel and refund you in full. One person can book, but the listing says a departure can also be cancelled for too few travelers, again with a full refund.

📍 Meet at the corner of Perry Street and 7th Avenue South, outside Fellini Cucina at 174 7th Ave S. It is under ten minutes on foot from the 14th Street subway stations for the 1/2/3, A/C/E/L and F/M lines and from the PATH.

The listing gives the meeting point as the end point too, while the operator's booking system lists the finish at L'Industrie on Christopher Street, a few blocks away. Grab a coffee, look for the guide in the bright coral shirt, and save room for the pizza.
