Skip the Designated Driver: Six Hours in Napa or Sonoma Wine Country
A Benicia car service collects you around the Bay Area and waits at each winery you pick, with tastings paid separately.
Valley Luxury Car Services, based in Benicia, sells six hours of a private luxury SUV and driver for a wine-tasting day in Napa Valley or Sonoma Valley. You bring a list of wineries or build one with the operator, and the driver waits nearby while you taste, then takes you on to the next stop.
What you book is the car and the driver. Tastings are not in the price, and in a January 2026 reply to a traveler the operator described the service as a private driving and sightseeing experience, with no tastings guaranteed. Bottled water and control of the playlist come with the booking.

One booking covers the whole SUV for one to six travelers: USD 450 from Monday to Thursday and USD 550 from Friday to Sunday, whether two people ride or six. Confirmation is instant, and cancelling at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure gets a full refund.

Travelers describe settling the route with the owner, Anthony, before the day starts, through calls and texts in the weeks ahead, with winery suggestions matched to the kind of wine day they want and a check of the plan close to the date. A couple marking their 25th anniversary in October 2025 booked tastings at Pine Ridge and O'Brien on his advice.
Booking the tastings is up to the group, and travelers describe him helping with it. In the January 2026 reply, the operator said it had asked that group whether they held reservations or preferred walk-in stops, and that walk-in availability at wineries varies. A traveler in April 2026 arrived with few reservations, and he helped build the rest of the itinerary.
Water, Your Playlist and a Driver at the Door

Through the day the SUV works as a base between tastings. Travelers describe cold water handed over after each winery, music of their own choosing and a driver parked close enough to be out front when they leave. The small jobs come up again and again: opening doors, walking guests to each winery entrance and taking the group photos.
Lunch is not part of the booking. Drivers suggest a stop, and a traveler in September 2026 had lunch picked up for the group. The listing promises a luxury SUV, and the operator's photos and several travelers' accounts show a black Lincoln Navigator.
Pickup Anywhere Around the Bay
The operator is based in Benicia and picks up anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, including addresses that are not on the booking list; you type those into the booking notes. San Francisco pickups carry an extra fee for the added time and the bridge crossing, and other far pickups may too. The listing gives no amount.
For San Francisco guests, the operator's January 2026 reply laid out three choices it had offered: the round-trip pickup with the travel fee, a ride-hail car to Napa, or the ferry to Vallejo. On the day, the driver calls or texts 15 minutes before arriving and again on arrival, with the license plate, the vehicle description and the driver's name.
Six Seats, One Car Price
One price covers the whole SUV, so six travelers pay what two do. The booking excludes the fuel surcharge and gratuities, and tasting fees are paid at each winery. The listing does not publish the surcharge rate or a gratuity percentage.
In an October 2025 reply to a traveler who found the final bill too high, the operator said its quote had stated that fuel surcharge and gratuity sit outside the base rate, and that the two sides had agreed the total by message before the tour date. Settling your own total by message before the day puts the whole cost in writing.
The map marks Napa Valley, the wine region the listing names for this day, and the route can run through Sonoma Valley instead. Pickup happens wherever you are staying around the Bay Area, and travelers describe being dropped back at the same door. On the ride home, the only thing left to decide is the playlist.
