Sixteen Miles Over Kissimmee in a Three-Seat Helicopter
A short private flight from the MaxFlight hangar at Kissimmee Gateway, out over the town's own six landmarks.
MaxFlight flies out of a building at the end of 4th Street, on the west side of Kissimmee Gateway Airport. The visit runs twenty to thirty minutes door to door. Eight to ten of those minutes are in the air. The rest is paperwork, a scale, and the walk out to the aircraft.
One pilot, and nobody in the cabin but your own party. The flip side is a two-passenger minimum, so one person cannot book this flight alone.

Departures run every half hour from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and booking closes sixty minutes before the slot you pick. Confirmation is instant and the ticket stays on your phone. Taxes, fees and handling are already in the fare; gratuities and hotel transfers are not.

MaxFlight names six places on this route. Old Town and Fun Spot America Kissimmee share a stretch of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, with a lagoon between them and two tower rides standing over it. Eli's Orange World is a few minutes along the same road, a building shaped like a giant orange, which is why people here call it the Big Orange. Gaylord Palms and the Orlando World Center Marriott are the two large resorts on the list. Give Kids The World Village is the sixth.
The company's own flight list puts the theme parks on its thirty-one and forty-eight mile tours. Sixteen miles buys you Kissimmee.
A Glass Atrium and a Village Built for Wish Families

Gaylord Palms sits under a spread of glass roofs on West Osceola Parkway, with gardens and a water park underneath them. The Orlando World Center Marriott is the other resort on the list, a little further north.
Give Kids The World Village is the one worth reading about before you fly. It is an eighty-nine acre nonprofit resort on South Bass Road, just west of the airfield. Its guests are children with critical illnesses and their families, there for a week at no cost.
Three Seats, and the Pilot Decides Who Sits Where
MaxFlight flies two aircraft: a Bell 206 that carries four passengers, and a Robinson R44 that carries three. This flight is the three-seat one, and every one of those seats is a window seat. The pilot and ground crew assign seats for weight and balance, so which window you get is settled at the hangar.
Everyone is weighed. One passenger cannot be over three hundred pounds, and MaxFlight's page for this flight caps the three seats at a combined five hundred and fifty. A party of four or more is split across two rides. Infants ride on a lap and fly free if they are under two years old and under thirty pounds, and every other passenger needs a paid seat.
Commentary is offered in English and in German.
Arrive Ten Minutes Early, and Bring ID for Every Adult
Nine travellers is the most the booking form will take. Arrive ten minutes before your slot. Every adult needs a photo ID, a driver's licence or a passport, and there is a waiver and a safety briefing before anyone walks out to the aircraft.
A full refund or a reschedule needs at least twenty-four hours' notice, and after that the money is gone. Not turning up without calling cancels the tour with no refund. Weather is the other variable. MaxFlight's own FAQ says rain alone does not ground the flight, and that unsuitable conditions can turn into a hold or a delay while the pilot watches the sky. Heavy rain, low cloud, lightning or strong wind is where it stops, and that gets you a different date or a full refund.
📍 4010 4th Street, Kissimmee. Coming from North Hoagland Boulevard, take 4th Street to the very end. Where you meet a gate, turn right without going through it, and the MaxFlight building is on your left. There are public transport options nearby, and no hotel transfer is included.
Bring sunglasses and a camera, and dress for whatever the day is doing. Slots run from 9:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the afternoon, half an hour apart, so the light is one of the few things about this flight you get to choose.
