Six Dallas Nights in November, From a Theatre to an Arena

Six nights across Dallas, from a Majestic Theatre evening on Elm Street to two Deep Ellum rooms on the same Wednesday.

Choose your room, then your night.

🎤 Six Shows, Five Nights

Dallas gives this run five nights and six rooms, and the shape is easy to hold: a theatre on Elm Street, a music hall off Stemmons, an arena in Victory Park, then two Deep Ellum clubs on the same Wednesday. It opens Friday, November 6, at 7:30 pm, when David Sedaris plays the Majestic Theatre at 1925 Elm Street. Saturday at 7:00 pm Bonobo is at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall, 1323 N. Stemmons Freeway. Tuesday is the arena night, Jonas Brothers at the American Airlines Center on 2500 Victory Avenue in Victory Park, 7:30 pm. Wednesday is the one to plan around: Tiny Habits play The Studio at The Factory, 2727 Canton Street, at 7:00 pm, and Greg Freeman plays Club Dada, 2720 Elm Street, at 8:00 pm, so both rooms are in Deep Ellum on the same evening. Thursday closes at AM/FM Dallas, 1950 Market Center Boulevard, with We Are Scientists at 8:00 pm. Everything except Victory Park sits within a short drive of downtown; the arena is the only night that needs its own trip, and the two Deep Ellum rooms can be treated as one outing.

🚶‍♂️ The Wednesday Double

The interesting thing about this week is how little driving it asks for. Elm Street, Stemmons, Victory Park, Deep Ellum and Market Center all sit within a few miles of downtown, so the run reads as one evening stretched across five nights rather than five separate trips. What changes is the room. Friday is a theatre on Elm Street; Saturday is a music hall off the freeway; Tuesday is an arena, with the drive and the parking lot built into the night; Wednesday pairs two small Deep Ellum rooms. The Wednesday pair is the real decision of the week: The Studio at The Factory and Club Dada both sit in Deep Ellum, one show at 7:00 pm and the other at 8:00 pm, so the honest choice is to take one and walk past the other, or to split the night and accept hearing part of each. Thursday pulls the run west to AM/FM Dallas on Market Center Boulevard, an evening closer to a bar with a stage than to a theatre. Plan the week as a single arc and you cover the range of Dallas rooms in five nights; plan it night by night and it is simply six good shows.
