Silvertip Hill
3.0 (2)park
A restored Blackland Prairie sanctuary in North Oak Cliff with walking trails amid native grasses and wildlife.
Description
Established in 2005 on reclaimed land, this space inside the Twelve Hills Nature Center reflects years of community effort to revive native ground. Nearby neighborhoods help sustain habitat for native prairie birds, butterflies, and grasses, turning the area into a quiet retreat favored for bird watching right inside the city. Local schools also use the site as an outdoor classroom, bringing students out for hands-on lessons in science, math, art, and language.
