石ノ森萬画館

Set on Nakaze island in Ishinomaki, the museum goes beyond static exhibits of Shotaro Ishinomori's manuscripts and worn production suits. Visitors can try Kamen Rider driving games and hands-on manga stations throughout the galleries.

Short films screen every half hour with English subtitles, and general admission includes access to rotating special exhibitions. The top floor holds a manga library and Cafe Blue Zone alongside a small display detailing the impact of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Outside, tokusatsu character statues line the approach from Ishinomaki Station.
