Shake Shack began as a hot dog cart in Manhattan’s Madison Square Park, set up to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation and drawing daily lines for three summers. The concept grew into a lively gathering spot that stretches beyond burgers to include chicken, hot dogs, and frozen custard, with beer and wine rounding out the menu.
