Description

Covering 300 acres, the grounds protect one of the last stands of old-growth Douglas fir within Seattle city limits, paired with the historic Seward Park Audubon Center, a children's play area, and shoreline swimming beaches. Circling the water, the wide, mostly flat perimeter trail traces the peninsula, opening onto perspectives of Seattle from the north side and Mount Rainier toward the south on clear days. Miles of walking and cycling paths wind through the trees and along the lake, drawing runners, families, and spring cherry blossom watchers.
