Description

Built between 2013 and 2016 to replace a predecessor that stood for over 90 years, the 1,976-foot crossing is an expansive deck arch structure anchored by three main river spans. It was engineered with modern seismic design intended to survive significant earthquakes, while its travel lanes restored critical bus transit connections and linked eastside Portland residents back to the city's major routes.
