See Waikiki From Diamond Head's Summit After an E-Bike Ride
A guided e-bike ride out of Waikiki, past Kapiolani Park and the coast road to Diamond Head, then the summit trail on foot with the park ticket included.
The ride starts indoors. 808eVentures keeps its shop inside the lobby of the Kuhio Village Tower in Waikiki, and the group gets fitted for bikes and helmets there before rolling out. The route passes Kapiolani Park and Makalei Beach Park on the coast road, then enters Diamond Head State Monument, where the bikes are secured and everyone climbs the summit trail on foot. Your Diamond Head hiking ticket is part of the booking, which saves a step: the state park requires non-residents to reserve entry in advance.
From the top, the listing promises the Pacific Ocean and the Honolulu skyline, Waikiki included. Then it is back down the trail, back on the bikes, and back to the same lobby.

Booking is per person for up to six riders, and it covers an English-speaking guide, the e-bike, a helmet and the Diamond Head hiking ticket. Tips are not included. The listing adds that photos taken by the guide come with the tour; one traveler wrote in May 2026 that it meant "we didn't have to keep fussing with our cameras."

The listing names two places on the way out, both as ride-bys. Kapiolani Park is the 300-acre park King Kalakaua set aside at the base of Diamond Head in 1867, and Makalei Beach Park is a shoreline park on Diamond Head Road that surfers use. In Waikiki the operator keeps riders off the sidewalks, in bike lanes and bike paths, and in single file.
A traveler writing in January 2026 put the skill level plainly: "You should feel confident in your ebike riding skills as Waikiki is busy." Plenty of riders still show up as beginners. Another, in May 2026, credited the guide with teaching "the ins and outs of riding an ebike which most of our group had never done before."
From the Crater to the Summit on Foot

The bikes are parked and secured at Diamond Head, and the rest of the climb is walking. The state park describes the summit trail as very steep and uneven in some areas, says the last tenth of a mile is all stairs, and tells hikers to allow 1.5 to 2 hours. This listing schedules an hour at the crater and 3.5 hours in total, while the operator's own site plans the tour at four hours. Keep the rest of the morning or afternoon open.
Travelers describe the effort in similar terms. One called the hike "a bit challenging at times, but well worth it"; another said it was "fairly steep but worth the sore calf muscles I had the next day." The operator says the guide carries water and snacks for the hike. Bring a bottle of your own as well.
The Park Ticket Is Handled, the Calendar Is Not
Diamond Head State Monument charges non-residents USD 5 to enter and requires them to book entry in advance; Hawaii residents with ID enter free. On this tour the hiking ticket is included for each rider. For a ride booked only a day or two ahead in the busy summer months, the listing asks you to check with the operator first that Diamond Head tickets are still available.
The park is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, yet as of October 28, 2026 this listing's calendar still sells both dates. Choose another day. Outside those two holidays the park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Who Fits This Ride
Riders must be 15 or older, and anyone 15 to 18 needs an adult along. The listing does not recommend the tour for riders 65 or older, for pregnant travelers, or for people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, and it asks for at least a moderate level of fitness. On weight, the operator's own site caps e-bike riders at 250 pounds while this listing says 275, so plan on the lower figure. There is no minimum height, though the listing notes that riders under five feet may find the bikes harder to handle.
One booking takes up to six people. The listing lets the operator cancel if too few travelers sign up, but a solo traveler wrote in August 2026 that she was "the only person to show up" and the tour went ahead.
📍 Meet at 808eVentures inside the lobby of the Kuhio Village Tower, 2463 Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki. The operator's schedule ends back at the shop. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without the operator's approval counts as a same-day cancellation with no refund. Parking under the tower is paid and limited, and the operator suggests walking over or taking a rideshare if you are staying in Waikiki.
Wear closed-toe shoes and sunscreen, and skip long dresses or skirts. Carry extras in a backpack, since the operator advises against bags on the handlebars. Helmets are provided and required for every rider. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund on this booking; the listing also lets the operator cancel for bad weather. The payoff waits at the summit: the Pacific on one side and the Honolulu skyline you rode out from on the other.
