Seaplane From Biscayne Bay to an Islamorada Beach Bar

A seaplane hop down the upper Keys to Lorelei in Islamorada, lunch on the sand, then the flight back to Miami.

Fly by seaplane from Biscayne Bay to Islamorada.

This trip is built around one landing. The seaplane leaves Miami, flies about 40 minutes over the upper Florida Keys, and sets down on the water beside Lorelei Restaurant and Cabana Bar in Islamorada, where you come ashore for lunch before flying back. The booking listing sells it as a private flight for two or three travelers, departing at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM, and the operator's schedule has those departures back at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Lunch is a stop on the route, and the meal itself costs extra: both the listing and the operator's own page put lunch under not included.

The product name promises lunch in the Florida Keys, and reviews from 2021 describe a meal credit at the restaurant. Read the name as a description of where you land. The price covers the seaplane flight, live narration, fees and taxes, and the fuel surcharge. Parking costs extra too, and hotel pickup is not part of the booking.

Forty Minutes Down the Upper Keys, Narrated

The listing times the outbound flight at about 40 minutes over the upper Florida Keys and includes live narration. The listing offers it in English or Spanish, and the operator's FAQ asks for advance notice for a Spanish-speaking tour. The same FAQ says every passenger gets a window seat and a headset on the intercom, and reviewers keep coming back to the pilot's running commentary on the water and islands below. Several reviewers say they spotted sea turtles, sharks or dolphins from the window. Nothing on the listing promises wildlife. The listing also calls flight times approximate, subject to change for weather and weight restrictions.

Lunch Is at Lorelei, on Your Own Tab

The plane lands on the water beside Lorelei, and the operator describes the restaurant as an open-air venue. Reviewers describe the food as bar food with seafood on the menu, and a 2019 reviewer called the lunch spot "of good quality but nothing special." Both flights and the meal fit inside three hours, and a 2021 reviewer wrote that the lunch stop felt rushed. Gratuities are not included. Arriving by seaplane draws an audience, too: more than one reviewer mentions diners waving and taking pictures as the plane pulled up.

Two or Three Travelers and a 230-Pound Limit

A group of four will not fit one booking here: each booking takes two or three travelers, and the listing caps the flight at three passengers. The operator's page for the same trip says up to six and adds that passenger weights affect it, and the company FAQ ties seat count to body weights and to which of its three aircraft you are booked on. The weight limit is 230 pounds per passenger, the listing adds a 6-foot height limit, and the pilot can refuse boarding to anyone over the weight limit. The booking form asks for each traveler's weight. All ages travel on an adult ticket, young children and infants need a booster or car seat that you bring, and the operator does not allow children on laps. The operator also states that this trip is not wheelchair accessible, even though the listing ticks suitable for all fitness levels, and the listing advises against it for travelers with poor cardiovascular health.

A 9:05 AM Phone Call Decides the Day

The listing asks every party to phone the operator at 9:05 AM on flight day to confirm conditions. The operator can cancel for bad weather, and its own page says weather cancellations may be rescheduled or fully refunded. Through this booking, cancelling at least 24 hours before departure gets a full refund. The operator's page runs this trip Monday to Saturday, and its FAQ says it closes on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, while the booking calendar still sells Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Pick a Monday-to-Saturday date away from those four holidays.

📍 Check in inside the Venetian condominium building at 555 NE 15th Street, second floor, suite 17. Parking there is valet only. The operator asks you to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early, and a guide takes you to the plane; travelers describe a short boat ride out to it. Bring a government-issued photo ID, which the operator's policy requires before boarding, plus sunglasses and sandals or water shoes. The listing warns your feet may get splashed. About 40 minutes after takeoff, you step off onto the beach at Lorelei.
