Set along the American Trail at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, this 300,000-gallon habitat ranks among the park's most historic exhibits. Built to mimic natural coastal waters, the pool maintains constant water movement for animal sensory stimulation, with split-level and above-water viewing areas providing varied perspectives as the sea lions cut through the water.
