Schuylkill River Trail
4.8 (98)park
Over 80 miles of riverside trail follow old rail lines through southeastern Pennsylvania’s historic landscapes.
Description

Planned to span 120 miles from Frackville to Philadelphia across Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties, the corridor cuts through a shifting sequence of rural, agricultural, suburban, and industrial landscapes. Along the way, the riverway exposes centuries of regional manufacturing and transit, with visible evidence of canal navigation, railroad transportation, and limestone and iron ore quarrying lining the path.
