Schiller Woods-South

Part of the Forest Preserves of Cook County, the grounds connect directly to the regional Des Plaines River Trail, offering both paved and unpaved paths for cycling and walking. Shelters spread through the picnic areas provide covered setups, and the park also supports outdoor recreation including cross-country skiing just outside Chicago.
