Save the Galaxy After Dinner at Park Meadows

The Escape Game's Lone Tree store runs four hour-long games, each spread over several rooms, with hints whenever you ask.

Save the galaxy in a Park Meadows escape room.

The Escape Game's Lone Tree store sits at Park Meadows and runs four games: Cosmic Crisis aboard a spaceship, The Depths in a submarine and an undersea lab, The Heist inside an art museum, and Timeliner on a time-traveling train. Each one gives the team exactly 60 minutes.

The operator says every game spans more than one room, and several players single out the extra rooms in their reviews. A game guide briefs the team at the start and hands out hints whenever asked, with no limit on how many. The listing says the room door locks and every door carries an exit button, for anyone who needs to step out mid-game.

This listing books one game in one time slot, and you choose the game as you book. It sells Monday through Thursday only, with start times from 8:10 AM to 11:30 PM across the four games, and booking closes an hour before the start. Unless your group fills all eight places, other players can book into the same game and join your team. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund.

Choosing Between the Spaceship, Sub, Museum and Train

Cosmic Crisis puts the team on a spaceship hurtling toward a black hole, and the plan is to turn the ship into a bomb. One player noted that you talk to the ship's computer when you need help. The Depths sends a crew by submarine to a deep-sea lab that has gone dark, and holds a surprise puzzle in which the crew pilots the sub together. The Heist is a museum job to steal back a missing Monet from a shady curator. Timeliner is a high-tech train that races through the centuries, from the Jurassic era to a glitching future.

On the operator's own ten-point scale, The Heist rates hardest at eight and the other three at seven. The operator calls The Depths a favorite with first-time players, though one player who had escaped all four found it especially challenging.

Team Size, Shared Games and Who Joins You

Each game takes up to eight players, on the listing and on the operator's room pages alike. The listing adds that unless your group books every spot, others can book into the same game and join your team. The operator's FAQ says most games stay private, with shared games most common on weekends, holidays and its busiest times. One player paired with a couple of strangers wrote that it worked out very well.

Size matters more in one room than in the others. Two players, writing separately, said Cosmic Crisis needs at least four people for certain puzzles. One couple wrote that they finished The Depths with just the two of them, and a player in a group of six said their room felt crowded.

Bringing Kids Under Fourteen

The listing charges the same per-person price for everyone from age five up. The operator recommends its games for ages 13 and up, welcomes younger players, and says some of the content may be too difficult for them. An adult aged 18 or older has to play alongside anyone 14 and under, and anyone under 18 needs an adult to sign their waiver.

Families report a wide range. One parent said Timeliner was not too difficult for an 8-year-old, a family with a 9- and a 14-year-old just barely escaped The Depths, and another group with kids aged 6, 9, 11 and 13 said all of them loved it. The operator's FAQ asks you to call before booking if a child aged four or under is coming, as every game has a player cap.

Before You Walk Into the Villas

The store is in the Villas at Park Meadows, just outside the main mall entrance, in front of the pond and near Yard House. The listing says parking is free; the operator suggests the lot near the Mall Villas by The Cheesecake Factory. Arrive 15 minutes before your game time, with the waivers already signed online.

The listing ticks wheelchair accessible, yet its own instructions and the operator's FAQ both ask wheelchair users to call first, and the operator says staff will help pick the game that suits the team. Service animals are welcome. Alcohol is banned on the premises and no food goes into the game rooms. The listing says no drinks go in either, while the operator's FAQ allows a lidded non-alcoholic drink and suggests setting it aside with your bags while you play.
