Savannah's Comedy Ghost Trolley, Where the Scares Are Punchlines
A one-hour evening ride past Savannah's squares and Colonial Park Cemetery, hosted by two actors as Boo Berry and Count Chocula.
Ghost Tours for Morons is a comedy show that happens to move. The operator, Historic Tours of America, casts its two hosts, Boo Berry and Count Chocula, as self-proclaimed paranormal "experts" with questionable research, and they spend the hour turning Savannah's ghost lore into a running gag.
The operator describes it as a seated ride, so the whole hour happens from your trolley seat. It starts and ends at River Street Market Place, on the east end of River Street.

The booking below is the one-hour public show. Every ticket on it is an adult ticket for ages 16 and up, and cancelling at least 24 hours ahead brings a full refund.

Come for the comedy. The operator's own ticket page warns of raunchy jokes, risqué humor and unpredictable antics, and the hosts' outfits come finished with oversized googly eyes.
A traveler who rode in May 2026 described it as an improv comedy tour with mild adult humor, light on history, and said the actors still drop in bits of Savannah's past along the way. A traveler in February 2026 who expected jump scares found the actors fun but got a bit bored after ten minutes. Book it for an hour of laughing with a ghost story underneath.
Savannah's Squares From Your Seat

The booking lists the route as a string of pass-bys, none of them a stop: Reynolds, Oglethorpe, Lafayette, Taylor, Monterey, Madison and Chippewa squares, plus Colonial Park Cemetery.
The operator describes haunted homes, eerie squares and shadowy streets outside the windows, and an air-conditioned trolley inside. The squares set the scene. The hosts carry the hour.
Who Should Ride
Nobody under 16 can be booked on this listing. The operator also rates the show 16+ for its humor. The May 2026 rider put it more bluntly, advising against bringing children unless you want to explain the jokes, and called it a fun couples night out.
One booking holds up to fifteen travelers, so a group of friends can ride on a single order. If anyone in your party needs an accessible vehicle, the operator asks for 24 hours' notice through its customer service line. Service dogs are the only animals allowed on board.
The show's producer, Front Porch Improv, keeps a few house rules: no food or coolers on board, a drink is fine in a non-breakable cup, and large hats, feather boas and excessive shoulder pads are not allowed, because the costumes are left to the hosts. It also says a ride needs at least 15 seats reserved to go ahead, and tips for the hosts are welcome in cash or Venmo.
Check In 20 Minutes Early
As of October 25, 2026, the booking calendar shows 8:00 PM departures from October 28 through 31, a handful of November nights that are mostly Fridays and Saturdays, and Saturday nights from December 5 through April 24. Halloween and November 27–28 add a 6:30 PM ride.
The operator asks you to check in 20 minutes before departure, and a late check-in can cost you your seat. Seating is first come, first served, so the show's producer suggests arriving about 30 minutes early if your group wants to sit together. There is no restroom on the trolley, and the ghost show runs about an hour with no stops. The market's own booths close at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and at 7 PM the rest of the week, so before an 8:00 PM ride from Sunday to Thursday they are already shut when you check in.
For parking, the operator points to two paid city lots along River Street, one more paid lot, and ample parking on Bay Street, which sits directly above River Street. The lot at the market's own address, 502 E River Street, is run by Metropolis, stays open 24 hours and listed drive-up parking at $8 an hour, capped at $32 a day, on October 25, 2026. The city's parking meter page, as archived in February 2026, lists meters north of Liberty Street as enforced Monday through Saturday until 8 PM. Getting down from Bay Street means cobblestone ramps or historic steps; River Street's merchants association lists its east-end public elevator at the AC Hotel, 601 E River Street.
📍 The trolley starts and ends at River Street Market Place, 502 E River Street, the open-air market of craft and souvenir booths at the east end of River Street. The market claims a ghost story of its own: its owners say two ghosts stay in Building 2, the easternmost building, and believe they are Savannah's "Waving Girl," Florence Martus, and her collie. You finish where you started, back on the river after an hour of two hosts in googly eyes doing their worst to Savannah's ghost stories.
