Sand Island SRA Park

Set within an industrialized zone directly beneath the airport flight path, this 14-acre park pairs open waterfront with unexpected surroundings. The shoreline fronts a small sand beach utilized for shore fishing and board surfing, while an adjacent day-use park features dedicated tracks for motorized OHVs and BMX bikes. Shaded pavilions and a covered shelter fitted with built-in chessboards dot the grounds, which also accommodate weekends-only shoreline camping.
