Description

Once part of the Kohl Mansion property acquired by the city in 1922, the site balances traditional Japanese landscaping with a granite pagoda and bamboo grove shaped by landscape architect Nagao Sakurai. Widely considered one of California's finest gardens, the grounds remain a calm destination year-round, turning particularly striking during the late winter and early spring cherry blossom bloom.
