The walkway follows a story-like route tied to lore of the Heian-period Kumano Navy's hidden base. Further inside, the sanctuary of Muro Daibenzaiten serves as an underground shrine featuring onsen water. Wave spray surges through the cavern's passages near designated photo spots, while above ground, an adjacent footbath offers a spot to sit beside cliffline ocean views.
