San Diego River Park
4.6 (10)park
A protected green corridor tracing the river through Mission Valley, threaded with walking paths and native gardens.
Description

Conceived as part of an initiative to create a river-long parkway from the mountains to the ocean along the 52-mile San Diego River, the park connects conserved open space with active community hubs. Its footprint includes the Western 9 River Trail alongside Grant Park, a 17-acre nature learning facility and eco-park featuring the River Studio education center and the Conrad Prebys Stage for events. Beyond the trails, the grounds also support regular educational programming, volunteer river cleanups, and ongoing habitat conservation.
