Description
Established in 1897 in what is now Balboa Park, this was the first country club founded in San Diego before relocating to its 160-acre site in 1920 to open William Watson's layout. Today, it remains the only private country club in Southern San Diego County. The member-owned grounds have also hosted prominent USGA tournaments, including the U.S. Women's Open, U.S. Women's Amateur, and U.S. Senior Women's Open.
