Sam's Log Cabin
4.5 (1,170)restaurant
A 1930 Sears kit home turned neighborhood brunch spot, serving local fare on a heated garden patio.
Description

When it went up in 1930, the kit cabin looked out over the Bay before cycling through a checkered run as a speakeasy, a roadhouse, and an off-track betting joint with a direct line to Golden Gate Fields. Management in the 1990s cleaned up that rowdier past in favor of vintage charm, setting the stage for a 2011 refresh that oriented the kitchen around a sustainable menu focused on local growers.
