Hovering 70 feet over the SoMa transit center, the 5.4-acre grounds incorporate public art installations and over 600 plant species representing different regions of the world. Beyond its running loop, the expanse features a 1,000-seat amphitheater and a cascading fountain actuated by bus movements below. Street-level access includes the White Heron, a permanent gondola carrying visitors directly up to the tree line. While visitors regularly highlight how clean the open space remains, security on-site can be notably strict.
