Description
As part of the 2026 EFG London Jazz Festival, this production explores Black civil rights and cultural resilience through a synthesis of live performance and historical record. Vocalist Sabina Desir and musical director Jessica Lauren anchor the stage with live jazz, blues, and soul, moving beyond a standard concert format by integrating documentary photography by Vanley Burke and Charlie Phillips OBE. The result is a narrative-driven exploration that uses sound and image to bridge storytelling with the history of the movement.
