Runners Swap Pastries at a Long Brooklyn Street Table Before the Marathon
A carb-sharing potluck takes over Driggs Avenue by McCarren Park for two hours, and neighbors without a training plan can sit too.
🥐 Saturday Noon, a Table Down Driggs Avenue
On Saturday, October 24, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Driggs Avenue between North 12th Street and Lorimer Street becomes one long table beside McCarren Park. Entry is free, and an RSVP on Luma is required. Run clubs sit together, and solo runners and neighbors are welcome too. The RSVP lets you name your club or choose no club and still get a seat. Each guest brings one carb to share, from homemade bread to a box picked up at a nearby bakery beforehand, labeled for common allergens. The Nassau Avenue G and Bedford Avenue L stations are a short walk away. It is an outdoor event. Check the organizers' updates on the day for any weather changes.
