🏃 Thanksgiving Morning Trot

🥾 What Happens at 9 AM

The start sits at Parking Lot 3 on Forbidden Drive, at the corner of Northwestern Avenue, and the gun goes off at 9 in the morning on Thanksgiving Day. Forbidden Drive is a wide, flat gravel path that follows the creek, with motor vehicles barred in 1921. The 1-mile walk starts right after the 5-mile run goes off. For the 5-mile run, register before the price increases on November 19 to pay $45 rather than $55, and children 4 to 12 pay $20.

🎽 Getting Your Bib

Packet pickup runs Tuesday from 2 to 5 in the afternoon at Face to Face on East Price Street, Wednesday from 3 to 6 at Chestnut Hill College, and on race morning from 7 to 8:30 in Fournier Hall. Bib pickup closes at 8:30, and race timing cannot be guaranteed after that. Allow time to park at the college and walk the 10 minutes to the line. Shirt sizes are no longer guaranteed for registrations after November 1.

🥧 The Meals Behind It

Entry fees go to Face to Face, a Germantown nonprofit that serves hot meals and offers legal, medical, behavioral health and social work services. Every entry fee stays in Germantown and pays for that work. After the finish, follow Forbidden Drive south along the creek to Valley Green Inn, a stone tavern built in 1851, for a Thanksgiving prix fixe served on November 26 only, $70 for adults and $35 for children, booked on OpenTable.
