Royal Oaks Country Club
4.5 (310)other
4.5 (310)A private Dallas club with a classic traditional layout, best known as Scottie Scheffler’s longtime home course.
Description
Even after updates by D.A. Wiebring in 2001 and Chet Williams in 2023, the course holds to the original 1969 layout designed by J. Press Maxwell, Don January, and Billy Martindale. The setup pairs Tahoma 31 fairways and teeboxes with TifEagle greens, presenting a traditional Southwest test designed to challenge all handicaps. It has also served as a 20-plus-year training ground for two-time Masters champion and Olympic gold medalist Scottie Scheffler.
