Rollins College Walk Of Fame
3.7 (3)attraction
A shaded campus path embedded with over 500 stones gathered from the birthplaces and homes of famous historical figures.
Description

Created in 1929 by Rollins President Hamilton Holt and assistant A. J. Hanna, the pathway curves around the Barker Flagpole and Mills lawn beneath oak trees. Markers along the route bear the engraved names of renowned writers, inventors, scientists, and historical icons, spanning figures such as Aristotle, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, and Maya Angelou. Heading the collection is a nearly three-hundred-year-old upright millstone inscribed with a Shakespearean quotation.
