Rocky Woods
4.8 (356)park
A peaceful woodland reserve with miles of trails curving past five ponds and up to panoramic views from Cedar Hill.
Description

Spanning 491 acres of varied terrain, Rocky Woods sits with one foot in the Charles River watershed and the other in the Neponset River drainage. A high water table forms wetlands throughout the reservation, sustaining a prized habitat for beavers, bullfrogs, Painted Turtles, and songbirds like the Towhee, easily picked out by its brisk “drink-your-tea” call.
