Description

The trail sits within a 15,000-acre sanctuary near Denver that transitioned from farmland and a war-time manufacturing site into a refuge supporting more than 330 species. Established in 2004 as one of the country's largest urban refuges, the grounds protect critical wildlife such as the endangered black-footed ferret and offer wider access across 20 miles of hiking trails and an 11-mile Wildlife Drive.
