Description

Identified by Miami-Dade County in 1985 as a site worth saving, the tract was acquired through the Environmentally Endangered Lands Program using matching funds from the State's Preservation 2000 initiative. The habitat's key ecological anchor is the endangered deltoid spurge, a plant that grows only in the lime rock of native pineland ridges.
