Description

The asphalt route accommodates hiking, biking, and rollerblading across a mix of flat and hilly sections as it connects parks and communities along the stream valley. At the southern end, an extension links down to Beach Drive, where the National Park Service closes the road to automobiles on weekends and holidays, allowing trail users to continue into the District. Heading north toward Rock Creek Regional Park, the pathway also offers direct access to seasonal boat rentals.
