Description

At its southern end, a trail extension to Beach Drive connects directly into the District of Columbia, linking to roadway segments that the National Park Service closes to cars on weekends and holidays. Running north toward Rock Creek Regional Park, the popular linear route negotiates occasional hilly terrain before finishing at Lake Needwood, where rowboats, pedal boats, and canoes can be rented in season.
