Maintained by the National Park Service, this designated picnic area operates on a first-come, first-served basis for gatherings limited to 25 people. Trash receptacles are provided on the grounds, while vehicle access is restricted to a small roadside pull-out that accommodates just two or three cars. There are no restrooms on-site; the closest public options are at the Rock Creek Park Nature Center and Planetarium during operating hours.
