Description

The business began when Rocio E started making tamales in her kitchen and brought some in for colleagues. A coworker named Juan urged her to sell them, testing the waters by placing a batch on a warehouse counter where other workers quickly took to them. Though Juan has since passed away, that workplace trial turned home cooking into a fixture that has spent years operating on South Harwood Street.
