Roberts (David) Square Park
4.6 (166)park
Kept free of buildings since 1873, this Jefferson Park square offers a walking path and a playground with a sandbox.
Description

Donated by early settler and township clerk David L. Roberts shortly after Jefferson Park’s incorporation, the Argyle Street grounds have remained dedicated to ornamental purposes in keeping with his original intent. The property transitioned from village ownership through Chicago’s 1889 annexation to the Chicago Park District. There is no structured programming held on site, with organized activities directed to nearby Jefferson Park instead.
