Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard
5.0 (21)attraction
A sunlit museum courtyard beneath an undulating glass canopy, with bamboo plantings, calm water, and space to pause.
Description

Designed by Foster + Partners, the courtyard encloses what was once an open-air space between the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Set inside the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture, the setting functions as an indoor public gathering space, hosting public events alongside café service beneath soaring skylights.
