Rigler Community Garden
4.6 (14)park
Free entry
Once a school parking lot, this Cully garden pairs student-planted native trees with an open-air teaching gazebo.
Description

Created through community advocacy and volunteer efforts, the 0.37-acre site opened in 2005 to integrate food and flower gardening with natural science education. Student artwork and a galvanized sculpture mark the entrance, where a concrete path leads toward the gazebo. The shelter features a rainwater-harvesting inverted roof and a hand-operated water pump, while trees sponsored by individual Rigler classrooms shade the northern section.
