Ride Central Park's Seven Stops Without Walking Them

A private pedicab with a guide who stops at the landmarks, so the park arrives to you instead of costing you a day of walking.

Ride a private pedicab through Central Park.

Central Park runs two and a half miles end to end, and the landmarks people come for sit far apart. Walking between Wollman Rink and Strawberry Fields eats an afternoon. A pedicab carries two to three riders on a canopied bench while a guide pedals, narrates and stops where the view is.

Every tier here is private, so the bench is yours and the pace bends to your group rather than to a schedule.

NYC Park Tours runs these out of Midtown, and the listing carries 4.97 out of 5 across 8,390 reviews on Viator, with another 7,329 on TripAdvisor. Read that as a signal about the operation rather than about the tier you pick.

Booking ahead buys a fixed price, which is the part that matters in a park where flagging down a cab at the kerb means paying by the minute. The tiers differ by how much park you cover: one hour reaches four stops, ninety minutes five, two hours seven.

What the bench is actually like

The cab seats two to three under a canopy, with the guide pedalling in front and turning back to talk. The park is a shooting location as much as a park, and guides lean on that: one Google reviewer wrote in June 2026 that the guides "even had clips prepared on their phones showing the exact scenes, so we knew what they were referencing."

Blankets come out in cold weather. One January rider described the driver rigging a plastic shield across the front of the cab against sleet — not a listed inclusion, but it tells you how the winter runs go.

Seven stops on the two-hour tier

The long tier covers Wollman Rink, Bethesda Fountain, Cherry Hill and Bow Bridge, Strawberry Fields, the Alice in Wonderland statue and the Reservoir.

These are not drive-pasts. The cab stops and you get out where getting out is the point, then get back on rather than walking the fifteen minutes to the next one. The shorter tiers drop stops from the end of that list, so pick by which landmarks you actually want.

Who this suits, who it does not

It suits anyone who wants the park's highlights without spending a day on foot: parents with small children, visitors on a tight schedule, anyone whose knees vote against three hours of walking.

Every tier needs a minimum of two riders, and one cab holds three — larger families get split across two cabs that ride together. Viator prices per person; other resellers price per cab, so compare the total rather than the headline number.

Where you meet the cab

📍 In front of the Starbucks on 6th Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets, a block south of the park's southeast corner.

This is reservation-only, and the kerb there is shared with several other pedicab outfits. Riders have reported struggling to work out which driver is theirs, so message your guide before you set off rather than looking for a sign. Hotel pickup is not part of the service.

The nearest subway stops are 57 St on the F and 5 Av/59 St on the N, R and W, both a short walk from the meeting point.
