The restaurant's roots trace back to 1979, when the founding family arrived in Virginia from Rạch Giá, Vietnam. Long before opening Rice Paper in 2012, Xuan Tran built a reputation in the Eden Center community for her wide-ranging Vietnamese cooking. Partnering with cousin Chef Phuong Ho, the kitchen unites those foundational home dishes with contemporary touches, including the Rice Paper Combo Platter.
