Red Spring Picnic Area

Set against a backdrop of gray limestone mountains and red sandstone hills, the basin is sustained by three permanent springs: Red Spring, Calico Spring, and Ash Spring. Water emerges directly from a shallow rock tunnel along the path, supporting stands of ash, scrub live oak, and honey mesquite that draw desert wildlife. Beside the parking area, picnic tables and metal barbecue grills sit in full view of the cliffs.
