Red Rock's Scenic Loop or the Ranch Howard Hughes Owned
A van from the Strip to Red Rock Canyon, where you pick the 13-mile Scenic Drive, Spring Mountain Ranch and Blue Diamond, or both.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area sits about 17 miles west of the Strip, and this operator runs three van routes into the area from the same three hotel pickups. One drives the 13-mile scenic drive. One, which the operator calls its Award Winning Tour, stops at the Red Rock Canyon welcome sign and then spends its time at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park and the town of Blue Diamond. The third, the Ultimate, does both, and the operator puts it at about six hours with the shuttle. The other two run about four hours from pickup to drop-off.

At checkout the routes appear as Award Winning Red Rock Tour, Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop and Ultimate Red Rock Experience. Park entrance fees, bottled water and the round-trip shuttle are included. Tips are not.
Award Winning Red Rock Canyon ToursVan tour from three Strip hotel pickups: the 13-mile Scenic Drive, Spring Mountain Ranch and Blue Diamond, or both. Ages 9 and up.www.viator.comOnly Two of the Three Routes Drive the 13-Mile Loop

The listing says the Award Winning route drives by Red Rock Canyon, pausing at the welcome sign while the guide covers the area's geology and the Native American peoples who lived there, before it turns toward the ranch. If the 13-mile scenic drive is the reason you are going, book the Scenic Loop or the Ultimate. On the loop the listing includes photo stops and the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. The Bureau of Land Management, which manages the area, lets commercial vans on the drive stop only at the Visitor Center, Calico I, Willow Spring and Pine Creek, for photos and not for trail hikes. Treat the loop as a drive with views. The nature walk belongs to the Award Winning and Ultimate routes.
A Ranch Howard Hughes Once Owned, Then Blue Diamond

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, the hour-long stop on the Award Winning and Ultimate routes, sits next to the conservation area and has been a working ranch and a luxury retreat. Nevada State Parks lists Chester Lauck of the comedy team Lum and Abner, the German actress Vera Krupp and Howard Hughes among its past owners. Hughes bought it from Krupp in 1967 and sold it in 1972, and the park's own history says that, as far as is known, he never stayed there himself. His employees used it, chiefly his right-hand man Robert Maheu. The park says some of the oldest buildings in Nevada stand there, including an 1860s blacksmith shop and the Sandstone Cabin that housed the founding family. Park admission is covered by the booking. The next stop is about 25 minutes in Blue Diamond, which the operator describes as a small town built for workers of the Blue Diamond Mine, with wild burros often walking through. The listing schedules a snack break at a restaurant patio there. Food is not part of the price, so anything you order is on you.
Who Fits: Nine and Up, Steady on Uneven Ground
The booking takes travelers from age 9, and the operator asks you to bring your own booster seat if a child needs one. The nature walk on the Award Winning and Ultimate routes is about 45 minutes over uneven ground, uphill for the first half, by the operator's account, and the listing says this is not a hiking tour. The listing also marks the tour suitable for all fitness levels. The operator's own FAQ says the tour is not wheelchair accessible, that its van cannot carry wheelchairs or mobility scooters, and that it is not for anyone who has trouble walking or has back problems. Wear closed-toe shoes with grip and laces or straps. The operator rules out flip-flops and slip-on flats. Bottled water is supplied, bathroom stops come no more than about 45 minutes apart, and from late October into early March the guides can lend a warm jacket if you ask.
Three Hotel Curbs and a Fixed Pickup Order
Pickup is at Treasure Island, Bellagio or Excalibur. The operator matches other Strip hotels to whichever of the three is closest, so tell it where you are staying and give it an email address for the shuttle details. Morning pickups run in a fixed order ahead of the 8:30 AM listed start: Treasure Island first at 8:00 AM, then Bellagio, then Excalibur. The weekend 1:30 PM Scenic Loop reverses it and starts at Excalibur at 1:00 PM. At Excalibur the meeting spot is the tour bus rotunda behind the hotel, not the rideshare area. Miss the shuttle and the operator does not refund. It offers a seat on another tour within seven days if one is open. On the booking calendar for October 12 to 25, 2026, the Award Winning route showed departures only Thursday to Sunday, the Scenic Loop on Mondays and Wednesday to Sunday, and the Ultimate only on Thursdays and Fridays. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. The operator's own site sets longer notice for bookings made directly with it. The tour can be called off for bad weather or if too few people book, usually fewer than three by the operator's count, and you are refunded in full. Tips are extra, and the operator suggests about 15 percent.
The van brings you back to the same hotel curb it collected you from. On a morning departure the operator says that means back before lunch, with the rest of the Las Vegas day still yours.
