Real Preserved Human Bodies Displayed Beneath A Strip Casino

REAL BODIES sits on the lower level of Horseshoe Las Vegas, a permanent exhibition of genuine human specimens preserved through plastination, a process that swaps body fluids for curing polymer. Roughly 20 full-body figures stand in mid-motion, posed to show muscle, bone, and nerve at work, alongside hundreds of individual organs in glass cases.

The galleries run by body system, moving from the skeleton through the muscular, circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems, and a wall of preserved organs sets a healthy lung beside a smoker's blackened one for a plain side-by-side. Lighting stays low, and the specimens read as anatomy lessons rather than shock displays.

Set inside a working casino on the Strip, the exhibit runs on timed entry and takes about an hour to walk. It draws medical students, curious travelers, and families steering older kids through a clear-eyed look at what the body holds.
