🗓️ Next Sessions

🤫 One Silent Hour

Readers drift in a few minutes before noon and settle wherever they like, a novel, a memoir, the same paperback from last month. For the first hour nobody introduces themselves or explains what they brought, and you can arrive alone and open your book on page one. Some sit at the bar, some take an armchair by the fireplace. A little after one the talking starts, and you can join it or keep reading.

🍺 Built for Sitting

Beermiscuous borrows from classic European cafes and American coffee shops, a room built for sitting rather than standing. The taps lean local and rotate often, and everything on draft can be ordered as a small pour. A few small glasses last through a chapter. Bottles sell single, and a mixed six pack goes home with you. There is free Wi-Fi, and board games sit out for anyone who finishes early.

🚪 At the Door

It runs the first and third Saturday of every month, noon to 2:30, and the next one is November 7 at 2812 N Lincoln Ave. Joining costs nothing and happens on Meetup, where each date has its own page with the time and address, worth a look before you travel. Bring any book you are already reading, library loan included. Organizers also warn that anyone asking a fee to feature your book is not with the club.
