Read Cabbagetown's Murals, Then Design Your Own Over a Drink
A guided walk through Cabbagetown's mural walls, the Krog Street Tunnel and the Eastside BeltLine, ending with one included drink and a hands-on session designing your own street art.
Unexpected Atlanta runs this two-and-a-half-hour walk through Cabbagetown, the Krog Street Tunnel and the Eastside BeltLine. The guide uses prompts to get the group reading each wall, sorting street art from public art and graffiti, and helps line up photos along the way.
The last stretch is an art salon-style happy hour at a local restaurant, where everyone designs a piece of their own with supplies provided. The operator says beginners are welcome and nobody has to share what they make.

The ticket covers the guide, the art supplies, one happy hour drink, a souvenir photo and postcard, a resource guide to Atlanta street art, and ponchos if it rains. Gratuities and hotel pickup are not included, and there is no food.
Atlanta Street Art and BeltLine Tour with Happy Hour and ActivityTwo and a half hours and about 1.5 miles on foot, from Cabbagetown to the Eastside BeltLine. One drink and art supplies included. 3:00 PM departures.www.viator.comThe Route, From Carroll Street to the Tiny Doors

The walk opens on Carroll Street in Cabbagetown, where the guide sets out the difference between street art, public art and graffiti. The listing then runs through the often-changing murals of the Stacks Squares, the long run of murals on Wylie Street and the Krog Street Tunnel, where the talk turns to the tunnel's graffiti and the effort to document it.
The operator's own page says painting is legal in the Krog Street Tunnel, and that nothing you make on this tour counts as graffiti. After the happy hour, the walk finishes at three Tiny Doors ATL installations.
The Drink, the Art Table and the One Break

About half an hour of the 150 minutes goes to the happy hour. The operator's FAQ says the drink is a local cider, beer or soda at a local restaurant, and that this is the walk's one break, used for the drink, the art activity and a restroom stop.
Restrooms come only at that last stop. Cabbagetown businesses keep theirs for paying customers, and the nearest earlier option is Krog Street Market, about a mile from the start. One traveler wrote in September 2025 that the guide's questions made it "an engaging 2 hour conversation instead of a narrative tour."
Ages, Walking and Weather
The booking takes ages 5 and up at a single price. The operator's own FAQ recommends that children be over 9, because of the walking. The listing marks the tour as suitable for all fitness levels, while the operator describes a 1.5-mile outdoor walk with lots of standing and asks anyone with physical limitations or difficulty walking or standing to contact it before booking.
It runs rain or shine, and ponchos are provided. Wear very comfortable shoes and bring water.
Where to Meet, and Why Not to Drive In
Arrive 15 minutes early at the small green space in front of a picket fence, between Gilded Lady Tattoos at 202 Carroll St. SE and Little's Food Store at 198 Carroll St. SE. It is not the courtyard with the picnic tables. Look for the guide's orange Unexpected Atlanta tote bag.
The operator asks guests not to park in Cabbagetown and recommends rideshare or public transit. The listing points drivers to paid lots near Krog Street Market, under a mile from the start, and the operator's FAQ adds that there is often parking along Wylie Street. No printed ticket is needed.
The walk does not loop back. The listing puts the finish in front of the Krog Street Tunnel entrance, at Krog and Wylie streets; the operator's page says it ends in Inman Park along the BeltLine, about 1.5 miles from the start. The pin on the map marks Little's Food Store, one of the two storefronts beside the meeting spot.
As of November 6, 2026, the booking calendar shows 3:00 PM departures on selected Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 26, and cancelling at least 24 hours ahead brings a full refund. The afternoon ends on the BeltLine with a postcard and a design of your own in hand.
