Description

Perched on a mountain in the Reno high desert, this center offers intimate, small-group encounters where you step into the role of a falconer. Guided by a licensed professional at an open-air gazebo, you don a leather gauntlet to witness raptors, including Saker and Harris's hawks, landing on your arm for a snack. The experience moves beyond simple observation, allowing you to see hunting behaviors in action as the birds fly between perches and gloved hands. It is a direct look at the biology and natural history of these raptors, grounded in an environment where the birds’ welfare is the primary focus.
