Pūpūkea Beach Park
4.8 (819)park
A North Shore marine reserve sheltering tide pools, underwater lava tubes, and calm summer snorkeling at Shark's Cove.
Description

Established in 1983, the park spans a Marine Life Conservation District stretching from Kulalua Point to the Wananapaoa Islets at Waimea Bay. Sites like Three Tables and Shark's Cove draw swimmers, snorkelers, and SCUBA divers to explore underwater ledges and arches amid abundant marine life. Conditions hinge entirely on the season: while calm summer waters provide clear visibility across the reefs, winter generates extremely dangerous high surf and currents across the entire marine district.
