Powers Marine Park
4.7 (7)park
A quiet Willamette riverfront park where unpaved trails and picnic tables overlook wood habitats for endangered salmon.
Description

Acquired in 1926, this 13.97-acre strip of land between Macadam Avenue and the Willamette River was given to the city by Powers Furniture Company owner Ira Powers and his real estate associates for the extension of Terwilliger Boulevard. Along with riverfront views, the grounds feature large wood installations that provide refuge for endangered chinook and coho salmon and trout.
