Description

Located in southeast Washington, the park traces a 1.6-mile tributary of the Anacostia River shaped by a joint stream and sewer restoration completed in 2016. Work across more than 4,400 feet of stream relied on regenerative stream design, raising the stream bed to reconnect with its historic floodplain. The reshaped corridor incorporates cascades, native trees, and aquatic plants that thread directly through the surrounding residential watershed.
