Description

Founded in 1991 by sisters Tracey and Cindy to feed Kalihi industrial workers on Moowaa Street, Pongo's eventually added family members Candace and Barbara—plus a second wagon at the Young Brothers shipyard—before trading the vehicles for a permanent Mokauea Street storefront in 2001. The kitchen serves entrees like baked ahi and guava chicken, letting diners pair fish, pork, or beef with specialty drizzles, sauces, and butters alongside an expanded selection of healthier options.
